Thats the good thing about old age.  Your vision gets bad so when  you start getting old and ugly, you still look good in the mirror and your hearing goes too so you don't hear anything you want to ignore....LOL

SO,Ivan....Hows the truck coming?   :Ll>:

:<:):  Hey!  I left some gold coins laying around here and they are gone.  Maybe your provider  got them too?
If so,could you bring them up to me?

:Ff<:  Did anyone hear anyone asking for Mizes opinion?   I must be a little hard of hearing.

Hey HighHopes any missing pics or info was that fault of My provider they move the forum
from one server to another, I guess system change, and Fu*ked up a few things, but mostly

after i posted this, i got real busy with people asking for custom designs which is great but also means i didn't have time to build and test this one.  but other people built it, or used major portions of it, from all around the world and some even got back to me with their test results.  one person even broke a speed record!

what i posted here is just the "basic" thing.. its good for high performance and can get high power so the "basic" is quite nice, but it's not everything you need and it can not do all the advanced features you'd want if you were developing your own IP.  what if you need to pass regulatory requirement?  what if you don't want your motor to need to be replaced every couple of years because bearing pitting?  etc.    but its pretty sweet anyway the basic thing.

in my personal life i'm waiting to get some time to build a garage so i can have the space i need to re-wind a motor via Ivan's method (promise, i WILL eventually do that!)  and insert into a DIY EV homebuild with this controller.  when that comes i'll repost the design because then it will have been properly tested and more suitable to be shared.

ps.  i did not delete the files or pictures from this thread; not sure why they are gone

Very nice!

No, no swapping of wires is necessary.  Under the encoder section, it has a swap direction setting.

Our encoders too do not tolerate much radial or axial movement.

Tip:  Shim the axial runout of your rotor so it is under .010"  so encoders will work.

Last tip: Encoders will NOT work with the outer cover loose or off.

After you afix your encoder permanently, run the motor characterization routine. (to get your motor to run perfect.)
